Responsibility

Almost 100% of our collection of our table and bed linen product lines are produced from single ply, especially finely spun cotton. This way we guarantee exceptional quality, finest visual appearance and a pleasurable feel – an all-round long-lasting product.

For our new design line PURE`21 we exclusively use GOTS-certified organic cotton. We plan to expand this into more collections.

We are a traditional textile company with extensive expertise in the profession of damask fabric. During production of a damask, warp and weft yarns are woven in such a way that it is possible to create figurative patterns of all kind. This means, in contrast with other textile print methods, that we can produce the fabric as well as the pattern in one process. As a result we use less water, energy and chemicals since we do not have to make an additional print onto the fabric.

For production, we use electrical power which is generated using alternative power-generating plants such as a photovoltaic system on top of the roof of our weaving mill and a water power plant at the Schwarzwasser river. In addition, we maintain a continued certification of the Saxon energy pass for verification of our environmentally friendly and economical energy usage.

Our products are manufactured in the heart of Europe and do not require long transport routes.

Whenever possible, we choose boats and trains as means of transport and try to reduce flights. On top of that, we save unnecessary transportation and costs by direct delivery to the retailers or our customers at home.

During production, especially dyeing, washing, and other chemical treatments may pollute the environment. In addition to the reduction of pollutant emission through exhaust air treatment at finishing systems, an important aspect of our production responsibility is therefore the responsible handling of chemicals. Besides standards to minimize environmental impact through our wastewater treatment systems, this also includes weekly tests at our own laboratory.

Our company was awarded the operating certificate „STeP by OEKO-TEX“ for environmentally friendly processes. Our products are furthermore manufactured under safe and socially responsible working conditions. As a result, since 2020 we carry the certificate „OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN“..

The wellbeing of our customers plays an important role for us. For this reason all our products in the home textiles sector have to fulfil highest quality and safety requirements and carry the label "OEKO-TEX Standard 100".

As our collections are becoming increasingly sustainable, we aim to make our packaging more sustainable as well. For instance, we strive to reduce our packaging components to a minimum, more specifically to partially replace them with cardboard packaging. In addition, our bed and table cloth product line will be supplied in recyclable packaging from the beginning of 2021.

The well-being and health of our employees is very important to us. Therefore we continually offer programs and activities which serve to maintain well-being. This is documented and controlled through an operational health management system.

Quality assurance is an essential part of our company. It is our objective to continually improve workflow, communication within the company, and business management. Therefore we carry the certificate ISO 9001:2015 for development, production and distribution of textiles.
